Lanark United up to second place after 3-0 win
Ants started well and brought out a couple of good saves from United keeper Gareth Hallford.
After a spell of pressure by the home side Lanark gradually took control and came close on a couple of occasions before Hugh Kerr opened the scoring from a low, right wing cross which he fired low past keeper Owen McCallum on 25 minutes.

Hide AdKerr was unlucky when his header rebounded off the crossbar on 40 minutes, but he made amends two minutes later when he headed home a cross from Ian Watt to double United’s lead.
A minute before the interval United were awarded a penalty when Watt was fouled inside the box.
He took the spot kick but saw McCallum dive low to his right to make a great save.
Three minutes into the second period Mark Haddow sent in a powerful header which was gain well saved by keeper McCallum.

Hide AdCraig Stark then had the ball in the net for United but the referee ruled it off for offside.
The goal of the match came on the hour mark when Haddow worked his way through half of the Ants team with an excellent run leaving defenders in his wake.
He then laid the ball off to Kerr who placed a perfect shot wide of the home keeper for his and Lanark’s third goal of the match for 3-0.
Lanark continued to create chances but an effort from Cammy Lawson was high and wide of the target before Josh Gracie linked up with Dan McHugh before seeing his shot well saved.
