Last week Cumbernauld United's executive outlined the players from last season that are on the transfer list and indeed the whole squad will go.

Ronnie Hunter indicated that trials would be held at Guy's Meadow for any interested players who might want to join the club. The first of these trials took place on Saturday under the supervision of manager Denis Curran and his No. 2 Junior Gibson. The turnout was probably better than expected and, after a good viewing and workouts on the large seven-a-side pitch, boss Curran spotted a few potential signings.

Another trial period will take place tonight (Wednesday) and Denis hopes to start signing the beginning of his new quad for the coming season this week.

The new season starts on Wednesday, August 6, when United meet Rob Roy in the Sectional League Cup with the game taking place at Adamslie Park.

United have pencilled in an away friendly on July 23 at West Calder.
