Kilsyth bowlers pick up prizes

KILSYTH Bowling Club ladies section's presentation of prizes was held at the Stirling Road clubhouse last Wednesday.
Prizes were handed over by past president Joy Haggart.

Winners for 2008 (pictured right) were: Club Champion, May Angus; Christina Whyte Cup, Gillian McCalmont; Bell Miller Cup, Effie Fletcher; Storrar Pairs, Phyllis Barrowman, Effie Fletcher; Cardwell & Thomson Triples, Effie Fletcher, Anne Shepherd, Joy Haggart.

A HAPPY company gathered at Kilsyth Bowling Club on Friday for the annual awards ceremony.
Prizes were handed over by club vice-president Alastair Barrowman.
Entertainment was by accordionist John Morgan and comedian Phil Melbourne.
Pictured (below) are some of the award winners with club directors.

SATURDAY is the annual charities day at Kilsyth Bowling Club.
The event kicks off at the Stirling Road premises at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.

This year's chosen charity is the Parkinson's Disease Society, so a warm welcome is extended to all to go along to support this worthy cause. Attractions include prize bingo, tombola, wheel of fortune, bric-a-brac, home baking etc. See you there!
