Scots shell out for charity in poverty poll
In a survey of over 2000 adults, 28 per cent of Scots said they plan on donating this Christmas compared to a national average of 24 per cent.
The figures are released as part of the Turn2us No Cold Homes campaign which is raising money to support those struggling to keep their home warm this winter.

Hide AdSimon Hopkins, chief executive of Turn2us said: “Christmas is an important time for many and an especially crucial time for charities that rely on those who support good causes.
‘‘Our No Cold Homes campaign, which is raising money to help those struggling to heat their home this winter, is just one way that people can help others this Christmas.
‘‘A third of those struggling won’t speak to friends or family about their situation which is why the role of charities in raising awareness is so important.”
The charity launched its biggest ever celebrity auction last week.
