Carluke author wins British Fantasy Award
Carole Johnstone’s Signs of the Times secured a British Fantasy Award for Best Short Story.
Carole beat off strong competition from six other nominees who are internationally recognised horror and fantasy authors.

Hide AdThe 37-year-old, who now lives in Colchester, said: “It was a great honour to win in such a hotly-contested category.
“From an early age I was always creating stories about myself or my friends but it has only been in the last few years that I have focused more of my time on writing.”
Set in Edinburgh, Signs of the Times tells the story of dog-headed people returning to Earth where they are vilified and persecuted.
