Bishopbriggs’ Caitlyn gets the chop for charity!
Caitlyn Watson (7) decided she wanted to go through the hair-raising challenge to help cancer patients.
The Thomas Muir Primary School pupil’s stunning waist-length hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity which make wigs for young cancer patients.

Hide AdAs well as donating her hair, P3 pupil Caitlyn has also collected the grand sum of £468 in sponsorship from family and friends for the Little Princess Trust.
Her gran Ann Marie White said: “Caitlyn had 16 inches of her hair cut off. She decided to get it cut off to donate to the Little Princess Trust.
“The original hairdresser let us down at the last minute but we managed to get one in the city centre, thankfully.
“Caitlyn now has all her sponsorship money in.”
The Little Princess Trust has been helping children and young people since 2006.

Hide AdThe charity provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
Describing Caitlyn’s donation as “amazing support”, their spokesperson added: “We use hair donations and fundraising monies sent to us to manufacture and fit our beautiful real hair wigs.
“Our generous volunteers and fundraisers work incredibly hard to ensure we can continue to help children and young people.
“We are indebted to them all.”
