NOBODY likes Monday mornings - but a girl from Kildrum has a tougher start to the week than most when she faces the X-Factor judges.
Nadine Heltberg is off to Hampden Park this Monday (July 7) to perform for the formidable panel of Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue, and says she is excited but slightly nervous too.

The 20-year-old has already impressed producers of the show during several rounds of auditions in May, and will be singing I'm Too Sexy for the judges.

"It's one of my favourite songs," says the Norwegian-born call centre worker.

The Kyle Road resident revealed that she has her own entourage to give her plenty of moral support.

"I've got 30 of my friends coming down, and we're hiring a mini-bus.
They've got banners and have printed out pictures of the judges and we might even have an X-Factor party to celebrate."

Formerly a pupil of St Mary's Primary and Our Lady's High, Nadine will be filmed as soon as she steps off the bus, with the show to be broadcast in Septmeber.

She says she has always sung around the house and can often be found doing karaoke at the Black Bull and Woodcutter pubs.

As for her musial inspirations she says she would like to emulate the success of X-Factor star Leona Lewis, and also highlights Mariah Carey as an icon.

"I could never be as good as them," she says modestly - but the judges may beg to differ when they hear her sing. Good luck Nadine!
